Purpose
We pride ourselves on providing surprisingly good service to both our tutors and clients alike. Keeping to the basic standards of professional conduct is of the utmost importance to us. As a Teach Me 2 tutor, you are representing the brand and have a responsibility toward the students we work with.
All tutors are expected to follow our Code of Conduct at all times to ensure that a high standard of service is maintained. This code aims to provide a degree of protection (to the tutors and learners/clients alike) from mistreatment or any potential accusations made by either party.
Tutors are Required to Adhere to the Following Code of Conduct:
See a job through to the end of the commitment period.
Keep all lines of communication open (and use appropriate and professional language) between you and your learners/clients as well as between you and Teach Me 2’s internal staff members.
Be timeous and well prepared for your scheduled lessons, ensuring that each lesson is enjoyable and age-appropriate for each individual.
Use positive, encouraging and professional body language.
Be respectful, amiable and patient towards your learners/clients.
Dress in a respectful and appropriate manner (e.g. Wearing a simple t-shirt, with no profanity/obscene images)
Ensure that any online lessons are conducted in a learning-conducive environment (e.g., in a quiet location with a tidy background).
Maintain professional boundaries and ensure an acceptable tone at all times.
Provide each learner/client with regular constructive, honest and encouraging feedback regarding their progress.
Keep your availability table updated on a weekly basis on your Tutor Portal.
Report any concerning behaviour by your learners/clients to Teach Me 2 immediately after it occurs.
Wait a minimum of 15 minutes before abandoning a lesson if your learner/client has not arrived (they may have a good reason as to why they are late).
Notify your client and your Support Manager if you need to reschedule and/or cancel a lesson (for any valid reason, including power/network failures or other technical issues), ensuring that you provide sufficient (at least 6 business hours) notice to all parties involved.
